Simon studied for a Masters in Mechatronic Engineering and his PhD focused on the development of small aquatic robots for nuclear pond inspections, both at the University of Manchester.
He now leads a team developing aquatic, aerial and ground robots for the inspections of hazardous and challenging environments, such as those found in the nuclear, offshore wind and subterranean mine sectors.
